Starting the Final Task




Hello,my name is Lela William. I am a senior at Fort Lauderdale High School located in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  Currently, I am enrolled in the Pre-Law Magnet Program but was given the chance to earn my Cambridge diploma. The Journey to receiving my ace diploma wasn’t easy. however, it would be worth it in the long run. I would describe myself as a person who is caring, hardworking, and intelligent. I think that it is very important to understand other people’s perception on certain topics and imputing a new perspective as well. When I was younger a strong work ethic was instilled in me and has not slowed down once I got into high school. The standard that I set for myself are suitable and obtainable. This class in its entirety has taught me many skills that I will incorporate in the long run. Making videos and learning the software has really changed my perspective on film making and I commend everyone who is involved in making any film whether it is low budget or higher budget. They both put in a lot of work to get the film out to the general public. In this course, I have learned how companies produce and distribute films. As well as the different camera terminology they use during production.  


For this assignment I have teamed up with Akiel and Raynaldie. I chose to work with Akiel and Raynaldie because they dependable and creative. They create an atmosphere that is comfortable and productive. I have seen what they are capable of producing. I have never collaborated with them on an AICE Media Studies project but I know from there work ethic that we will get things accomplished.

The name of our studio is R.A.L studios and the name of our production studio is R.A.L productions. The actors that we will be putting in the title of our film is Akiel Williams as himself, Mya Knight as herself, Jessica, Tommy, Dashaun, Sam, Michael, Greg, Gabby, Robert, Matthew, Keyshawn, and Princess. Production Blog: First Group Filming Session

 My group and I have finally met up. I had to pick up one of our actresses, Mya. At first we set up a time to meet but my team member had an appointment so they tried to filming earlier. Unfortunately, we ended up filming the originally scheduled time because I live in Deerfield and had to drive to Fort Lauderdale. We met at Akiel’s house and got right to work. The first thing we did was film the establishing shot. We took multiple shots of the neighborhood. One way we did this was by getting high ground. We did a 360-degree overview of the neighborhood. We only filmed scenes 1, 3,5,10, and 11. We then drove to the Corner store and went inside to ask for permission to film. Once we received an okay we filmed the scene of Akiel looking for a snack. The title that is displayed in this opening sequence is the name of the film, Saint Judy. You also see the writers, directors, editors, music by, actors, and product names. They make sure they put the production company name, who’s the film by, and what type of film it is. In the opening sequence, there’s a flag, a group of people, and a courthouse. You also see a jail cell, police, cameras, and a library. I see documents, the statue of liberty, and apartments. The flag represents the United States of America. The group of people and the poster is saying they are protesting for something. The jail cell, police, and the courthouse mean someone is in trouble with the law. The camera and the apartments would be that neighborhood is being watched. The documents, library, and the statue of liberty mean someone is preparing for a case.
