Welcome back to my blog. I am very excited to show our final task. We each have contributed a number of hours to get this accomplish. I am thankful we did it and now all we could do is reflect on the process. This journey has opened my eyes to how films are meticulous as we had to film and re-film certain scenes to our liking. I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to my blog. Today is my last day of editing. I have looked over everything and ensure that it is correct. I have double-checked everything. I referred back to the script and made sure everything was aligned. However, there are some last-minute changes that I needed to accommodate for. While I was going through the films I realize that a significant piece of the script was not in the video. There was a line with one of our actors, Sam where he mistakenly forgot to say that phrase. Fortunately, for us we were able to voice record him saying the line. I placed that voice recording on top of the video and continued to edit. Another thing I had to do was to learn how to reduce background noise during this scene with Akiel and Mya. I went on Google and watched a few YouTube videos to make the film usable. In the original shot, there was too much wind in the area. This made the sound muffled. I took multiple shots of this particular scene which I am very happy about. I was able to uti

 Welcome back to my blog. Today was the last day of filming with my group. I went to pick up Mya. Then we met up at Akiel’s house. We went back to the corner store and reshot the last scenes first. We filmed the shot of Akiel walking out of the store and his interaction with Mya. We did a reverse shot for this scene as it is dialogue between the two people. The sun was very bright and the weather was not a problem. We had to go get something the drink due to the immense heat of the sun. Before we left we had to reenforce the shots and made sure everything was up to par. After we finished, we tried to buy one of our actors some time. It seems like he was a no show. Instead of ending the day and coming back another day. We had to brainstorm a different idea because we were cutting close to our due date. We spent 20 minute trying to figure out how we will change the scene. We went through multiple ideas and eventually came to a conclusion. We decided to go to the park and film the other s

Welcome back to my blog. After my first day of filming we haven't filmed anything. I think that the finding a filming schedule is the hardest part with working teens. There would be days where 2/3rds of my group could come but one of the us has to work. Then by the time that person gets off the other two has to go to work. Filming schedules are always changing. I am also not too sure if I am going to be able figure out how I should edit. Finding inspiration to edit is a struggle sometimes. I like to watch YouTube videos of other film sequences. The simplicity of the film is what make it pleasant to the eye. The ability these film makers have to create something that captures the audience attention. I hope that our film will captivate who ever is watching and can imagine what the full length would entail. Films from directors like Spike Lee and John Singleton.  Welcome back to my blog. Today is my first day of editing. I decided to use Imovie because I have ran into too many problems with a final cut pro in the past. I imported all of the clips that we have previously filmed in the application. Then I took the establishing shot of the neighborhood and cut it into seven parts. I minimized them to 2.5 seconds each. I froze the second clip. Then I added the title of our film "Life for Life: A Losing Game."  The title is bold with a "spilt"' transition. I muted all of the seven clips and added each actor's name. The next clip is of Akiel walking. I think I need to find a suitable instrumental to go along with it.  I have to find an instrumental that we can use because I doubt we are going to be able to use the DMX song. Recently, DMX has been hospitalized and his team emailing us back is the last thing on their mind. I have done some research about the instruments that I will use. I may use an instrumental with a dark

 Welcome back to my blog. It is now officially crunch time.  My group has not received any sort of conformation from DMX's team. I am starting to think that we will be unable to use the audio. We now have to decide as on what instrumental that we are going to use. I think we may have a difficult time choosing an instrumental as each of us have different music taste. Recently, Raynaldie and Akiel filmed the night scene at the park near Akiels house. It took a while for them to come up with a date and time to film. Ultimately, they did it. Once we got to the park, they successfully filmed the scenes. We must come up with a filming schedule for next week because our final task will be due soon. I am nervous about the final task. Hopefully, the opening sequence will come out well. The majority of my focus now is on editing. My main purpose is to serve as editor and ensure that the sequence is well portrayed.
