Filming blog (2) - Finding a Replacement
The day that I planned to shoot the majority of my music video had to be delayed for a few days. I was shuffling through many people to find a male lead after the first person could not do it. Sad to say, all of the potential male leads could not make it. During this time, I was disappointed but I had to film and could not wait any longer. I called my friend last minute and she agreed to help me film and the mini love story began. I went to the park and we filmed on a small trail for the opening scene. Here, I shot a few angles of the two seeing each other for the first time. One of them was walking down the trail while the other one was checking herself out in the mirror. They exchanged glances and shyly smiled at each other. I had to film this scene a few times because we all were very giggly. Since this is the first time that we have worked together. We had to adjust and get the nervous out. I had to refilm this scene from a few different angles to see which one captivates the tone of the film. Once, I got all of the shots on the trail I need to shoot in another area. We went to the playground and finished the rest of the scene. At the playground, we filmed another glance exchange scene that was similar to the first. Then I created a little transition in between the scene to transition into the swings. The girl sits on the swings and the other girl sits next to her and they start to get to know each other. We filmed extra shots of them having fun. They played tag, went on the slide, and raced. I wanted to get more footage than to have limited footage. I am very thankful for all of those who assisted me.
