1 Editing Blog: Improving the audio
The first thing that I did was import all of the scenes that I filmed. I went through all of them and started to delete the unnecessary ones. I had to cut and trim the videos. I then put them in a particular order. The hardest part was ensuring that I had the correct duration. Some scenes that I filmed did not make the final cuts. However, it was better to have more videos than not having enough. Even though I had created a vision that I wanted to depict, it still came out pretty well. In the second scene, there is an interaction between the actresses; the dialogue was lower in this clip. Here, I had raised the volume on that clip because of their soft voices. In the middle and at the end there are scenes of the product. I muted each scene and placed a voiceover, explaining the product in brief detail. I had to rerecord the voiceovers a few times because they were too lengthy or they did not fit my standard. After I listened to the voiceover's they were very loud which cause me to lower them. The close-up shot was one of the final scenes. It had to be cut halfway through due to time restraints. The last thing I did after editing all of the clips and audios was adding the background music. The upbeat instrumental that was used had to be trimmed to fit the time duration. The instrumental that I used as background music was overpowering. Throughout the video, I had to find a balance between the audios and the background music. Lastly, I went back through the video and added the transition in between each scene. At first, the transitions elonged the video but, after I figured out how I could make them shorter and cleaner.
